Welcome. I'm Neal Ritter. I write literary fiction shaped by the the quiet tension between identity, memory, and the fragile stories we tell ourselves to stay whole. If you're drawn to fiction that lingers, unsettles, and invites reflection, you're in the right place.
I spent my entire professional career learning about people, sharing the intimate details of their lives. I did so from the perspective of not only problem solving but also facilitating growth… helping people find their way in this vast universe. As a writer of psychological literary fiction, I now want to take you beneath the surface of my stories to explain the reasoning and relevant experiences that live there.
This site is the structure I’ve dreamed of—a way to move past the 'one-way street' of social media and engage in a meaningful dialogue. This site is completely free. There are no involuntary tracking pixels or pop-up ads. It’s strictly between you and me.
I’m sharing my fourth book as it develops because I believe the dialogue between author and reader is where the real understanding happens. Are you game?
